However complex a lighting design is, it should always be simple and intuitive for everybody to use.

When designing lighting control systems we always make sure that every room has a clear on/off function and all of the room lighting scenes are easy to recall. We try to encourage all of our clients to have their lighting keypad buttons custom engraved - all of the lighting control systems keypads that we install have this feature available.

Not all dimming is the same , just because a light fitting says it is dimmable does not mean that it will dim from 0-100% and will do so in a linear way.

There are a few different types of dimming:

• Phase(Mains),

• 0-10v, 1-10v,

• DALI

• DMX

Choosing the best dimming type will depend on the type of light fitting you chose and the quality/level of dimming you require, with DALI and DMX type control you are also able to adjust the light colour and temperature as well as the dimming level which can make spaces even more special.

Lighting the garden is both a great way of showcasing your garden and enhancing any rooms, or spaces, with views of the outside. Garden lighting also adds to home security by being able to deter uninvited visitors.

Using the lighting control system’s astronomical clock we are able to activate the garden lights to come on at dusk all year round and turn off after bedtime, and linking the lighting control system to the house security system enables us to turn on the garden lights in the event of any zone intrusion.
