Music at home

Audio was where we started over 20 years ago, and music is as important to us now as it was then.

Just because you might not want speakers to dominate your living space does not mean you have to sacrifice quality.

We have speakers to suit any room, from the totally invisible, conventional in-wall and in-ceiling types to bookshelf and floor-standing designs.

5 Thoughts about music & audio.

  • There are many types of speakers you can choose;

    • In Ceiling

    • In Wall

    • On wall

    • Bookshelf or Freestanding.

We would suggest that you install the best speaker type for a room or zone, based on room use, performance and aesthetics.

In ceiling speakers are great for rooms that you move around in or where space is a premium, on wall speakers are a good choice where direction of sound source is important and freestanding speakers can provide that old school HiFi vibe.

  • There is a reason why some speakers cost more, they sound better.

To choose the best speaker for your room or zone, we like to categorise our speakers with 5 different performance levels to help you decide the right speakers for each room and your budget requirements: -

    • Budget Quality

    • Good Quality

    • High Quality

    • HiFi Quality

    • Reference Quality

We do not recommend always using the same quality speakers for every room. Use your budget to get the best sound in the room(s) you use the most.

  • If you want music and audio, but just don't want to see any speakers we have solutions for you.

We can install invisible speakers in ceilings, walls and joinery and what's more they can sound fantastic too.

We also install a range of architectural style speakers that can fit flush in ceilings and walls without any protruding grilles. These are a great solution for ceilings with plaster-in style light fittings for that clean, clear, flat ceiling look.

  • The more speakers you put in a space, the greater coverage of sound and the lower volume you will require for comfortable listening in all places - you would not try to light a kitchen with a single downlight.

However, not many people want to have lots of big speaker grilles on the ceiling, so instead carefully placed speakers of the right size will be the best solution.

If you want to cover a large area with clear, even sound then it is worth considering smaller (downlight size) speakers with sub-bass reinforcement.

  • There has never been a better time to play music in your home or workspace, internet radio and streaming music services like Spotify and Tidal give you millions of songs to choose from, and using their recommendations and playlists means you do not even have to decide yourself what to play next, just let them do the heavy lifting.

Make playing your favourite music, podcast or radio station as easy as turning on a light by integrating your audio system with your home control.
